David Pitre appointed to serve on State and Federal Court Rules Committees for Mississippi

Because of his extensive litigation experience and reputation as an accomplished trial attorney, David was appointed in May of 2025 by Chief Judge Sul Ozerden to a four-year term on the Local Civil Rules Committee for the Northern and Southern Districts of Mississippi. In November of 2025, David was appointed by Chief Justice Michael Randolph to a three-year term as the Mississippi Bar’s representative on the Supreme Court of Mississippi Advisory Committee on Rules. He is one of only two lawyers in the state to have the distinction of currently serving on both the federal and state rules committees. These committees perform the very important task of studying, drafting, and recommending changes to the rules governing court procedure and evidence to ensure the legal system operates efficiently, fairly, and consistently.
