Because of his extensive litigation experience and reputation as an accomplished trial attorney, David was appointed in May of 2025 by Chief Judge Sul Ozerden to a four-year term on the Local Civil Rules Committee for the Northern and Southern Districts of Mississippi. In November of 2025, David was appointed by Chief Justice Michael Randolph to a three-year term as the Mississippi Bar’s representative on the Supreme Court of Mississippi Advisory Committee on Rules.
The Mississippi Association for Justice (MAJ) presented to David Pitre the award for Mississippi Trial Lawyer of the Year at their 2025 Annual Convention in New Orleans, Louisiana.

David Pitre was recently selected to join a prestigious national group of civil trial litigators. The American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) is an invitation-only national association of experienced trial lawyers and judges, chosen based upon their reputation for ethics, professionalism and courtroom skill. ABOTA and its members are dedicated to the promotion of the civil jury trial right provided by the Seventh Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
